Strategic Aims 2006 – 2009

   ·   To develop the provision of services to families in rural communities
   ·   To extend our services across rural Wiltshire
   ·   To work with other agencies to promote access to our services
   ·   To develop improved access to learning opportunities
          in rural communities
   ·   To continue to raise awareness of RNI and its services
in the community and among key partners
   ·   To ensure monitoring and evaluation underpins the work
          and organisational development

Rural Outreach

RNI supports families with young children (under 19) who live within the Kennet District.

RNI’s ethos is that ‘we come to you’.
Our main point of contact within communities is Toddler groups.

By operating an outreach system, based on regular visits to 25 such groups, RNI enables parents and carers to have easy access to information and advice.

How we find out what people want

We ask people what they want;
and then we ask them how we did

By visiting Toddler groups regularly we get to understand their situation and issues.
Such visits also help us to understand the nature of the community,
and where possible to develop specific projects.

Participants on courses are asked to complete evaluation forms

We also take note of comments and anecdotal evidence when reviewing projects

At every event evaluation forms are handed out for completion at the session.

Follow-up forms are sent later to measure the longer-term impact.

Feedback is constantly encouraged eg discussions about how RNI can help take place at Toddler Groups.
